Welcome to our practice! Here at TBAC, we pride ourselves in providing superior service to our clients. All of our Psychologists and Counselors have extensive training and experience. TBAC goes through a careful selection process of our providers and are all hand selected and the best in the field. Unlike many other practices, even our Registered Interns are highly experienced and skilled, holding a combined 40 years of experience alone. Likewise, our Psychologists and Counselors have combined 50 years of experience between them. Our staff regularly consults one another on treatment so you can rest assured, regardless of which provider you see at one of our offices, you have a team of professionals behind them that give guidance and care about you and your case. Lauren Roberts, LMHC Lutz Clinical Manager
Lauren enjoys working with adults, couples, and children ages two and older, along with providing parental support through a love and logic approach. Lauren received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Lauren works with a variety of issues including attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), adjustment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, and couples counseling. Additionally, Lauren has experience with grief counseling having led support groups for children who experienced the significant death of a loved one and co-facilitated a support group for adults who experienced a death from suicide.
Lauren’s approach is trauma informed. She utilizes skills and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered therapy using a strength-based approach along with Mindfulness-Based Interventions. When working with children and teens, she utilizes play therapy skills and techniques into her sessions. Lauren wants to provide a safe environment for all ages to explore their past, who they are today, and where they want to be tomorrow.
Dr. Carmen R. Ugalde, PhD, LMHC Licensed Clinician
Dr. Carmen R. Ugalde has extensive experience in the mental health field successfully working with children, adolescents, and parents in various settings, including private practice and school counseling. Her areas of expertise include parenting, emotional and behavioral disorders, adjustment disorders, stress-related issues, anxiety, and depression among many others. She is committed to helping her clients become their best selves through a highly personalized, collaborative, and strength-based approach. Her treatment modalities rely on cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, integrative and holistic practices, as well as play and art therapy.
Dr. Ugalde is extremely knowledgeable and comfortable working with young children and is a native Spanish speaker and has frequently worked with youth and parents from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Eddie Johnson Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Dr. Eddie L. Johnson Jr. is a Human Services Professional, with an extensive background in mental health, behavioral health, and substance dependence disorders. Dr. Johnson began his career with earning his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence. In 2015, he decided to further his education by obtaining a Master's degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. Motivated by a deep-seated passion for the mental wellness of those under his influence, Dr. Johnson pursued and achieved a Doctorate of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University, showcasing his dedication to advancing his expertise in the field.
With a career spanning over fifteen years, Dr. Johnson has cultivated extensive experience in treating children and adults afflicted by various mental and behavioral health conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar I & II, as well as substance use and abuse disorders. His ability to connect with a wide variety of people across various cultures and provide personalized care, underscores his commitment to leveraging the innate gift bestowed upon him.

Dr. Stephanie Campbell, PhD, LMFT, Licensed Clinician
Dr. Campbell is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida for both Marriage & Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselor Registered Interns. Dr. Campbell has over 20 years of experience treating individuals, children, teens, couples and families in different settings (i.e. agencies, private practice, and community-based settings). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Capella University in General Psychology, a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Argosy University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Scranton. Her areas of specialty include but are not limited to Marital and Family Therapy, Depression, Anxiety, Co-Occurring Disorders, Psycho-education Groups (Diverse Topics), Severe and Persistent Disorders, and Behavior Modification. Over the years, Dr. Campbell worked with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and marital counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, she offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each of her clients' individual needs to help attain the personal growth they are striving to attain.
Holly Gardner, LMHC, CGT Licensed Clinician
Holly earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Hartwick College with a minor in Sociology. Holly has 15+ years of experience and is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Geek Therapy.
The populations that Holly treats includes older teens and adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and borderline personality. Holly utilizes CBT, DBT, ACT, ART, and Schema Therapy. She is a certified Geek Therapist which means she uses pop culture, gaming, and social media in conjunction with traditional approaches, to increase engagement and effectiveness. Holly also utilizes creative modes such as music, writing, and drawing to assist with processing and emotional regulation.
Rena Davis LMFT Licensed Clinician
Rena has a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Guilford College. She has several years of experience in mental health, treating couples, adults, and children with various issues and disorders. Rena enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life, especially those with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and trauma.
Rena is warm, sincere, and has a nurturing and calming spirit. She utilizes mindfulness-based interventions, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused modalities while tailoring treatment to each person individually. Rena believes in empowering her clients to resolve their unique challenges by educating and helping them gain a better understanding of themselves, others, and their current situations.
Additionally, Rena is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a unique approach to therapy. ART helps heal trauma responses by changing how disturbing images and memories are stored in the brain.
Lianna Malawski, MA Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Lianna is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who specializes in working with adults, young adults and adolescents. Lianna obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Sport Psychology from Boston University in 2022 after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology minoring in Exercise Science and Sports Performance and Coaching from Appalachian State University.
She is a strong social justice advocate and is passionate about working with the local BIPOC community. As a former Division II athlete and with prior experience working with DI and DIII universities, she also provides services for athletes looking to improve their performance skill set and add to their mental skills toolbox. Lianna is trained in various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain management, substance use, and neurodivergent individuals. Lianna’s approach toward therapy is to create a safe and brave space for those who are currently struggling. She takes a client-centered approach where she believes the client is the expert on their experience and is there as a supportive guide to help uncover those strong emotional feelings. By creating a validating and encouraging counseling space Lianna ultimately wishes for clients to find their power and improve their well-being. Lianna is affirming in providing therapy to the members of the LGBTQIA+ population and is affirming of all gender expressions and sexual identities.
Lianna enjoys traveling, being around family and friends and is a big foodie!
Katelin Koontz MA Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Katelin obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University. Katelin’s training and experience working in various women’s residential and outpatient mental health treatment facilities has gifted her the ability to work with diverse individuals who are struggling with a wide range of mental health-related concerns. Katelin is especially passionate about working with adolescents, adults, and young adults living with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and relationship difficulties.
Katelin has a warm and calming energy and takes a modern approach to therapy with authenticity and humor. Katelin seeks to meet clients where they are on their journey and guide them through the process of self-discovery and to finding peace within. Katelin strives to create a safe space where clients can rest, grow, heal, and recover from old wounds to develop a more integrated sense of self. Katelin tailors each session to fit your specific needs and concerns by utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches from a trauma-informed lens, including Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered Therapy.
Katelin is an EMDRIA-Approved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and utilizes this approach in her work with clients. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess distressing memories and shift negative beliefs associated with these events. EMDR can provide rapid relief to clients leading to a decrease in the emotional distress and physiological arousal that is often the result of traumatic experiences. Katelin has also completed training in Level 1 and Level 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses this approach in her work with couples.
Evelyn Diaz MS Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Evelyn is a registered clinical mental health counselor who focuses on recovery and truly believes anyone can improve their mental health by creating sustainable, healthy changes. Evelyn’s goal is to empower people to live life based on their values and develop psychological flexibility in the process. She feels passionate talking openly about mental health and removing the stigma around mental illness. One of her goals is to normalize and educate on mental health in order to break down the barriers that prevent people from seeking support.
Prior to working with TBAC Group, Evelyn worked with adults, adolescents, and children providing individual and group therapy for anxiety, OCD, depression, personality disorders, and grief therapy. Additionally, she also provided therapeutic services specifically to children and adolescents with autism and selective mutism for two years. Evelyn’s primary focus of interest is working with anxiety disorders, OCD, and depression using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Through these evidence-based treatments, she works to adapt it to each individual based on their therapeutic goals and needs.
Evelyn graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and English from Florida International University. She then continued higher education receiving her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Evelyn is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time she enjoys crocheting, boxing, and skateboarding!
Noel Hamilton APRN, TBAC Group Associate
Noel Hamilton is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in both Psychiatry and Primary care medicine. Noel is passionate about providing compassionate , comprehensive and high quality mental health services to adults. He possesses strong clinical skills and establishes excellent rapport with patients and family. Noel has always had an interest in the field of psychiatry, starting his career as a nurse in a hospital psychiatric crisis/acute care unit, as well as hospital inpatient psychiatric unit. Mr. Hamilton graduated from Drexel University in Pennsylvania with a Post Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health. With a deep commitment to improving mental health, Noel is dedicated to offering his patients compassionate, comprehensive, and top-tier mental health services.
