Sarah Stefanick, LMHC
We all experience change in our daily lives-some small and subtle, others that make us pause and reflect. Are we ready for this change? How might our decisions shape our future? What if things turn out differently than we imagined? These are natural and valid questions, and it's completely normal for change to stir a range of emotions. What makes change truly challenging is when we tell ourselves "I can't do this," "I shouldn't do this," or "I have to do this." My goal as your counselor is to help you navigate life's ever-shifting landscape with greater ease, so that you can reduce stress and enhance your quality of life.
A strong, supportive relationship is at the heart of our work together. I am here to provide warmth, empathy, respect, and honesty, so you feel safe, seen, and heard. Our sessions will take place in a calm and comforting environment where you can feel free to express your thoughts, feelings, and actions openly. No matter how big or small the changes or challenges you face, they are all welcome in therapy as part of your personal wellness journey.
My approach to therapy is evidence-based and tailored to you as an individual. Just as no two changes are alike, no two people are the same! I use both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to guide our sessions, blending structured techniques with a deeper exploration of your inner world. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, empowering you to gain confidence and achieve your goals.
I am proud to have graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!). With this background, I feel confident in helping you navigate your circumstances and am passionate about serving our community.
